Why travel to Faro in November?

Why travel to Faro in November?

The Algarve is one of the ultimate summer destinations in Europe – and actually in the world, since prices are quite accessible for American travelers, for instance, and many of them come to the Portuguese shores of the Atlantic Ocean to practice surf or other water sports and to sample life on the Old Continent. So why travel to Faro in November?

This is indeed the question. But the answer is not, “Because you’re crazy”. It is much more complicated than that, and here are a few reasons why people choose to travel to the seaside in the cold season. Number one reason is that prices are considerably lower for vacations organized in what is known as the “low season”. Everything, from lodgings, plane tickets, services like Algarve transfers and Faro airport car hire and even Van Car Hire – if you meed a commercial car to transport your thinks from or to Faro – contracts have a much lower price when the summer is done.

Secondly, the beauty of the landscape, historical monuments and tours around Faro can be best appreciated when the crowd of summer is long gone. For those of us who enjoy privacy, the option of traveling during autumn or spring is excellent, as we avoid the hustle and bustle of the high season.

The Algarve boasts with over 300 days of sunshine and temperature averages in Faro in November range between 15 and 19 degrees Celsius, which is pleasant, least to say. We’ve saved the best for last, though. The countryside outside Faro city blooms with colorful wildflowers and green grass during autumn, making it look as if a mild spring, and not a cold autumn, is on its way. And if marveling at the beauty of nature is not reason enough to make your heart sing with joy and your schedule tick Faro as a November destination as if by wonder, then there is no case to state anymore!
