Portimao tourist attractions

Today we’ll be talking about Portimao tourist attraction, a subject that we haven’t really touched upon yet.
Portimao is one of the largest towns in the Algarve, alongside the likes of Olhao, or the capital Faro. As opposed to most other Algarve locations, Portimao does not get most of its revenue from tourism activities, instead it acts as more of a headquarters for those who want to visit the various nearby tourist resorts, however there are things to be done in Portimao as well.
Algarve food and drink – The hills and the mountains

In our look into Algarve food and drink we’ve reached the final major geographic region, namely Algarve’s stretch of hills and mountains.
This region of the Algarve is quite limited, it acts as sort of a natural borderline between the Algarve and the Alentejo region to the north, and as we’ve seen with the other parts of the Algarve, this part of Portugal has also adapted its gastronomy to the most easily accessible ingredients, but it did this without losing the marvelous flavors of the south.
Algarve food and drink – The Intermediate Region

Today we’re continuing our look into Algarve food and drinks, and since we talked about the coast last time, today we’ll be looking at the intermediate strip of land which marks the transition between the coast to the south and the hilly region to the north, this region is known as the ‘Barrocal’ region.
Algarve in the off-season – September and October

People don’t talk about Algarve in the off-season as much as they should, I mean we did talk about Algarve in the winter season a while back, but that only scratches the surface of the great experience that one will have if they go to the Algarve in the off-season.
Actually the months of September and October are some of the best months to visit the Algarve – because during these months the average temperatures tend to hover around the mid to high 20’s, in the shade, so it will still be hot by pretty much most standards.
