You might not think about it at first, but food is a pivotal constituent of a culture, and the Portuguese cuisine tells tales of its Moorish past and the brave Reconquista, so tasting it while on vacation here is a must. If you love food, join the Lagos Food Fest 2015 in Jardim da Constituicao between the 3rd and the 5th of July. Entry is free and you should expect the best food and drinks from the stands and vans in an entertaining atmosphere. You can rent a car in Lagos to move around town and its surroundings, by the way.
Between the 11th and 15th of July, car lovers are invited to the Algarve Classic Cars 2015, an event which has reached its 22nd edition. Based in Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, this amazing festival promises entertainment and excitement for local and international guests alike.
Do you want to build a… sandcastle? This can prove to be an amazing opportunity to spend quality time with your family, so take them all with you and come to Quinta do Lago Beach for the Sandcastle Competition from the 16th of July 2015 to August 20th. The most creative ephemeral building will be rewarded.
